They've really updated the inside and now have a bar. The food was great. Service was fast. I was able to get in and get out on my lunch hour. Satisfied customer!

Homely and down to earth. Large variety of hot soups, and a selection of good sandwiches. Usually busy over the lunch hour, but you can still get in and out in a half hour.

I was in East Lansing for business and saw the sandwich shop. It was probably the best Ruben i've ever had! I wish that I lived in the area so I could come back all the time. I would definitely recommend Hobie's to anyone who likes a good sandwitch.

This is one of the only locally owned and operated establishments that has survived in East Lansing for decades. This is because the soup and sandwiches are exceptional. Its not as fancy as corporate chains similar to it but that is part of its charm. Great place to visit with friends, study, and most importantly, eat.
